What the inspector wrote

On 08/13/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deschampe conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction visit to follow up on the Type B deficiency issued on 07/30/2025 California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 101238 Buildings and Grounds (a) The child care center shall be...safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. LPA entered the child care center at 3:09 PM. Teacher, Zaira Camargo greeted LPA and stated the director is currently on break. The census at 3:12 PM was 10 preschool aged children and 2 staff in the Red Room/Class 1. The census observed in the Blue Room/Class 3 was 13 preschool age children, 2 staff. LPA was guided to the areas of focus from the plan of correction, outdoor play area including the perimeter fence and repaired concrete floor. During the inspection it was determined the facility is operating within its licensed capacity and within compliance of staffing ratios. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility residents, staff, or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Director/Facility Representative, Maria Teel arrived at 3:53 PM. LPA observed the director/facility representative has corrected the violation by repairing the perimeter fence and filling concrete in the damaged concrete grounds. Through LPA's observations during this visit, the violation which was cited on 07/30/2025, is cleared. The licensee was informed that the “Notice of Site Visit” must be posted for 30 consecutive days. The exit interview was conducted with facility representative/director, Maria Teel. The facility representative/director was provided a copy of appeal rights LIC 9058 and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. First level appeals should be sent to the regional manager to the address listed above. End of Report.
