What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Duron conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection on today's date to review the Confirmation of Removal Letter for Rajah Brown. The LPA met with Facility Representative, Nicole Fontaine and informed her of the reason for the visit. The LPA toured the facility inside and outside with facility representative. Census was taken and there were 0 school age children present at time of visit. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary on this date indicates all facility residents, staff, or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPA Duron spoke with facility representative, Nicole Fontaine regarding letter issued to #304370550 OC Kids childcare Inc. Landell dated on November 19,2025 from Department of Social Services that mentioned Rajah Brown may not work or be present in an agency licensed by the Department, unless a criminal record exemption is granted. This Individual must be immediately removed from your agency. An appeal may be submitted within 15 days of the date on the letter. Rajah Brown is to remain out of the facility until an appeal is resolved. Facility Representative, Nicole Fontaine stated Rajah Brown is not present at facility, and has never been present at the facility. LPA provided Guardian Information and website info: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/cdss-programs/community-care-licensing/caregiver-background-check/guardian Page 1 of 2 Page 2 Nicole Fontaine was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were observed of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 at the time of the visit. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Nicole Fontaine. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with the posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Page 2 of 2. End of Report.
