What the inspector wrote

On 01/28/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Deschampe conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection in response to the Type B violation issued on 09/09/2025: California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 101238(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. LPA arrived at the facility at 9:15 AM and was greeted and allowed entry to the facility by Dilusha Weerasinghe who identified herself as the Teacher/Assistant Director. Total enrollment is 21 children with a current census of 15 children with 3 staff, as a result of part-time enrollment. A review of staff criminal records, on this date, 01/28/2026, indicates all facility staff or individuals who require caregiver background checks have received a criminal record clearance or exemption and a child abuse index clearance. The deficiency that was cited on LIC809-D on 09/09/2025 has been cleared through LPA observation, interview and record review. Licensee has replaced broken equipment and fences, maintained sufficient equipment for children in care, and maintained a clean and sanitary child care center. The facility representative was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC9058) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. The "Notice of Site Visit" was posted and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Ivek Rodrigo. End of report.
