Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 6/20/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Olivia Meza and Anna Chan arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management Inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Assistant Director, Lillie Macdonald and were led on a tour the facility. There were 68 infants, and 15 staff members present. The facility is requesting a capacity increase to 36 infants, ages 3-18 months and 102 toddlers, ages 18-36 months and to add room B3 to the license. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7am \342\200\223 6pm. Infant rooms B6, B7, B8 and toddler rooms B1, B2, B3, K1, K2, K3 and K4 were inspected and measured. The total square footage is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate furniture, including cribs and cots for napping, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves and other materials for children. There are 8 toilets, infant potty-training toilets, and 20 sinks for children's use, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Facility representative stated they understand that infants and toddlers shall never co-mingle. There is a separate outdoor activity space for infants and one for toddlers. The outdoor activity spaces were inspected and measured. The total square footage is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The play equipment and materials were age appropriate and safe. A fire clearance was granted 1/14/2025. (continue to page two) Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited. A capacity increase to 36 infants and 102 toddlers in infant rooms B6, B7, B8 and toddler rooms B1, B2, B3, K1, K2, K3 and K4 may be granted after a final file review.
