What the inspector wrote

Page 9099C Complainant alleged that a child has been bitten six times within one year by the same child. LPA interviewed the complainant on 04/16/2024, who stated that the facility has taken the proper protocol for the incident. Complainant stated they were notified that the bitter\342\200\231s last day of the program was 04/19/2024. During staff interviews, all the staff interviewed stated that the facility is always within compliance of supervision regulations. Staff #2 (S2) stated S2 has 9 children together in the playground, Child#1 (C1) and Child #2 (C2) were fighting over a shopping cart, S2 was going toward the children, but didn\342\200\231t get there in time to prevent the bite from happening. Staff #1 (S1) stated Child #1 (C1) is no longer enrolled at the facility. The facility re-enrolled C1 back in November 2023 when C1 turned two in the preschool license. Since C1 returned there were two biting incidents, one with Child #2 (C2) and another one is with a Child #3 (C3). S1 stated the facility had meetings with parents of both children, and dis-enrolled the biter from the program. On 04/22/2024, LPA conducted parent interviews. LPA called 8 parents and 5 of the parents called were able to be interviewed. Parents interviewed did not express any information pertaining to the allegation. Based on LPA observations, document reviews and interviews conducted, the preponderance of evidence that day care staff didn\342\200\231t properly supervise children in care was not met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Jamie Patopof. Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. Director was informed that the notice of site visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in civil penalties of $100.
