What the inspector wrote

On 03/04/25 at 2pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Anna Chan conducted an unannounced onsite inspection for the purpose of An Annual random visit. LPA met with director Angela Gunter. LPA and director toured the facility inside and outside and the floor and yard plan were verified. Currently, there are no children at the facility. Facility hours are 8:00a.m.- 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. Director stated the School-age program hours are 8:00am to 3:00pm only. The school-age license currently operates during Summertime only. During the inspection of the indoor activity space, items which could pose a danger to children (detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications) were observed to be stored out of the reach of children. Poisons/Hazardous Items are not kept on the premises. Floors, equipment, and furniture were clean and were observed to be in good repair and free of sharp edges. The facility does not provide food to children. Water is provided by Brita water pitcher and Children bring sports bottles with their names on it. The facility has a working carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher. The facility has conducted an emergency drill within the past six months on October 17, 2024. Facility met all posting requirement . The California Child Passenger Safety Law was posted by the entrance of the facility. Page 1 of 2 The outdoor activity space was inspected for compliance. The School-age shares with the preschool playground, it was enclosed by a fence at least four feet in height. The playground has a cushioned by rubberized chips and rubberized surface in play area which appears to be enough to absorb falls. The outdoor equipment and toys were in good repair and free of sharp edges. Drinking water in the outdoor activity space is provided by Brita water pitcher and sports bottles with the children’s name on it. There are no bodies of water present at the facility, and none was observed during today’s visit. No files were reviewed since the program has not started. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services (IMS) LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. An Inspection and exit interview were completed with Director, Angela Gunter. The report was reviewed and discussed. Appeal Rights was discussed. The Director was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058 ) and their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. All appeals must be in writing and received by the Regional Office within 15 business days. The Notice of Site Visit was posted during the visit. The director was informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Page 2 of 2
