What the inspector wrote

On 03/05/26, at 1:05pm, a case management incident inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Chan who met with Director Sun Chung Director was informed of the purpose of visit. Upon arrival there were 6 infant children and 2 staff. Director stated that currently there are 10 children enrolled. A self-reported incident by the facility was received at the regional office on 03/02/26, regarding a child 1 (C1) shaking and with high temperature and Paramedics was called to respond. LPA interviewed 2 staff Gathered facility documents regarding incident and parent communication and medical report was emailed to LPA. LPA was provided a copy of the training notes. Director stated the facility staff recently attended a first aid training that includes seizure response. Director stated as part of 15 minute sleep check, they will check temperature of children. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. An Upcoming webinar on March 24, 2026 which will discuss about IMS and Safe Sleep (PIN 26-01-CCP). Page 1 of 2 The director was reminded of the following safe sleep best practices and use of sleep sacks: \302\267 Always place infants on their backs for sleeping \302\267 Use only a tight-fitting sheet on the crib or play yard mattress \302\267 There shall be no objects hanging above or attached to the side of the crib. \302\267 Keep all items, including blankets, out of the crib or play yard \302\267 Pacifiers may be used if they do not have items attached to them \302\267 Infants should not be swaddled or have any items covering them while sleeping \302\267 The temperature of the room should be comfortable enough for an adult to wear a t-shirt and not be too hot or too cold. LPA did not observe children wearing sleep sacks. Director was reminded that the use of sleep sacks as a swaddling alternative would require an exception and can be considered on a case by case basis. No deficiencies cited during this visit. If any deficiencies are observed, disclosed or discovered, they will be addressed and cited at a later date. Exit interview was conducted with Director Sun Chung. The Notice of Site Visit was posted. Director has been informed that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Appeal Rights were provided.
