What the inspector wrote

LPA met with Applicant, Tandy Taylor,Pamela Glassell Program Manager Early Childhood and Alfonso Lopez Maintenance Lead. This is a follow up to the pre licensing visit conducted on 12/21/23 in order to remeasure the outside activity space. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 40 preschoolers 3 years old to 5-years-old in classrooms 33 and 36. Hours of operation will be 7:30am-3pm, Monday thru Friday. Operating an am and pm session. On 12/21/23 outside playground was measured at 1666.16 square feet. The original yard sketch provided lic 999 showed measurements of 71 by 85 square feet and side portion of 99 feet by 16 feet. During today's visit, LPA remeasured the yard using the applicant's tape measure and assisted by Alfonzo Lopez, Maintenance Lead. During today's measurements LPA measured side at 16.25 x 99 square feet and the enclosed grass area measured at 73sq ft x 102 sq feet LPA was advised that when measurements were provided on sketch they did not include the paved area which is part of the outside activity space. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. The chain link fence is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 9054.75 square feet, which can accommodate the capacity requested. Applicant will not be required to submit a waiver request.. Shade is provided via trees on one side of the playground. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. The playground has cushioning section made of grassy area and pavement with bike path. Drinking water is available via water bottle with child\342\200\231s name and water jug to refill the water. LPA observed no hazardous items on the playground to be accessible to children. Applicant, Tandy Taylor was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. LPA advised applicant, that application will be submitted to management for final review. An exit interview was conducted with Ms. Tandy Taylor and Ms. Pamela Glassell.
