What the inspector wrote

At approximately 2:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Blesi arrived for an announced (due to COVID-19) required annual inspection. LPA was met by licensee Traci Bingaman. Also present was licensee\342\200\231s assistant, Samantha. LPA asked if anyone else was present in the home today and licensee stated no. LPA toured areas of the home accessible to children in care. Off-limit areas: master bathroom and garage. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The census was 11 children including 3 infants. Licensee stated there are no new residents in the home since licensure. Adult residents have criminal record clearances. LPA reviewed 3 infant and 1 preschool children's files. LPA observed sleep logs are maintained on infant children. LPA observed that there were no hazardous items accessible to children. There are two sheds in the backyard one for storage of toys and the other containing hazardous materials which was observed to be locked. LPA observed cleaning materials were inaccessible. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Fire extinguisher and smoke detector meet regulation. There is a working carbon monoxide detector present. Toys appear to be safe. The backyard is fenced and gated. There are no bodies of water observed. IMS (Not providing at this time) Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA verified the annual fees are current. LPA provided the Child Care Advocates Program email address: childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov , so Licensee can request to be added to the distribution list to receive Quarterly Updates. This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with the Ms. Bingaman. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and should remain posted for 30 days for parental review. Licensee was encouraged to visit the Department website at WWW.CDSS.CA.GOV for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. A copy of this report will remain on file for a period of three years for public review upon request. Licensee's signature on this form acknowledges receipt of this form. No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.
