Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with facility representatives Roshawndia Padgett and Shannon Miller to deliver findings for a complaint investigation. LPA observed 47 children supervised by five staff. It was alleged that the facility staff did not prevent children from harming another child in care. During the investigation LPA reviewed children’s files and conducted staff and children’s interviews. Evidence suggests that current staff are aware of an incident that occurred between Child 1 and Child 2, which both families were notified of. Evidence suggests that there may have been more incidents in the past, however there is not enough evidence to confirm. None of the evidence gathered suggests that staff were neglectful regarding preventing the incident from occurring again or protecting the safety of children. The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met; therefore, the allegation is determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. The allegation can neither be corroborated nor dismissed. No Title 22 Regulations were found deficient. LPA reviewed this report with facility representative Shannon Millier and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days.
