At approximately 12:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Matthew Gallo met with licensee Loree Liebe for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed a total census of 7 children, consisting of 5 preschool children and 2 infants. Licensee's adult assistant was also present for the inspection. The day care facility is operated in a separate dwelling unit on the property. Licensee guided LPA on a tour of the facility, and a health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas include all bedrooms and all other buildings on the property. Licensee acknowledged that children must never enter these areas. LPA observed the required postings, 2A10BC fire extinguisher, and functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Per licensee, there are no weapons on the property. The on-limit area does not contain stairs or a fireplace. There is an in-ground pool on the property. The licensee has erected a 6 foot high wrought iron fence around the facility to prevent access through the windows in the playroom. LPA observed the gate to self-close and self-latch. LPA observed a functioning alarm that sounds upon detecting entrance into the water and is ASTM compliant. Both a USCG-approved rescue pole and body hook with a length of 12 feet and a USCG-approved life ring of at least 17 inch diameter were within sight of the pool. LPA observed log of daily inspections of safety features and equipment. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report continues on 809-C LPA reviewed 7 children\342\200\231s files and observed them to be complete. A current roster is being maintained and fire and disaster drills are documented. Current CPR and First Aid certification was verified and expires 9/2026, and AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training was verified for the Licensee and expires 8/2026. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Loree Liebe. During the exit interview, the licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
