What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with Licensee Representatives Marci Pilgrim and Bethany Gardner, for the purpose of an informal office visit. LPM defined the difference between non-compliance and an informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the facility maintain compliance. Today's informal meeting was to discuss the type A citation issued on 10/3/24 (complaint) regarding personal rights. The Licensee Representatives and Director stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance: 1. Parent communication has been improved to regulate children\342\200\231s schedules. 2. Children have been moved to another classroom where children are closer in size and mobility, preventing reoccurring biting incidents. 3. Increased staffing to have ensure supervision and attention to all children. 4. Administration has communicated with staff about classroom changes that may prevent reoccurring biting. 5. Center has provided teething supports for children in their teething stages. LPA discussed follow up documentation for file. LPA and LPM reviewed ratio, physical plant, and supervision requirements. LPM discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. LPM suggested that Licensee can view information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org . This report was reviewed with the Licensee Representatives and Director.
