Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with facility representative Marci Pilgrim to for the purpose of a complaint investigation. LPA observed 50 children supervised by 9 staff. The following was alleged: Staff allowed children showing symptoms of illness into the facility, Staff did not inform child's authorized representative of illness and have child removed, Staff did not ensure children with illness were isolated from other children in care. During the investigation, LPA interviewed staff and reviewed documentation relevant to the allegations. There was no evidence that children are not screened, as it was stated that children are continuously observed for illness throughout the day by staff. Interviews were consistent that if a child is showing signs of illness, then they are separated, and their authorized representatives are contacted for pick up. The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met; therefore, the allegation is determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. The allegation can neither be corroborated nor dismissed. No Title 22 deficiencies will be issued as a result of the investigation. LPA reviewed this report with facility representative Marci Pilgrim, and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days
