Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with licensing representative Marci Pilgrim to deliver findings for a complaint investigation. LPA observed 62 children supervised by eight at the time of inspection. It was alleged that staff do not ensure the playground is free of hazardous conditions and mold During today’s investigation, LPA observed the playground and playhouse and interviewed staff. Documentation of repairs was requested. LPA did not observe any hazards on the playground. LPA observed stains on the wood inside of the treehouse, however LPA is unable to determine if that is an indication of mold or a hazardous substance. Facility representative stated that the wood was recently cleaned with bleach and sanded down. Based on the evidence gathered, the allegation is UNSUBTANTIATED. The allegations may have happened or are valid, but there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with licensing representative Marci Pilgrim. Appeal rights were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days.
