Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On September 18, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Piring met with licensee Rocio Maurizio , for the purpose of an unannounced licensee initiated case management inspection. The purpose of today's inspection is for a capacity increase from 8 to 14 . Fire clearance was granted on 9/11/25 by The city of Rockiln Fire Department. During todays visit, there were two children in care, and the licensees own child. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas will include Garage, Master bedroom, and side yard. Licensee acknowledges that children may never enter off limit areas. Licensee understands that if they want to make any off-limit area an on-limits area, licensing must be notified, and LPA must do an inspection before children are allowed in the area. LPA observed a children's roster and fire drill log, the last fire drill was conducted April 2025 . LPA observed a sample of children\342\200\231s files, all which contained the required documentation. LPA discussed CCR 102416.5 (d) which discusses the required ratios and capacity for a Large Family Child Care. Licensee understands that children under 10 years old that live in the home count towards total capacity. LPA discussed personnel records needed for adult and minor assistants. Licensee understands that when an assistant is not present, they must comply with the capacity and ratio requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home. No Title 22 deficiencies were observed during todays visit. Effective today, September 18, 2025, this Facility is approved for a Large Family Child Care Licensed to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants, or maximum capacity of 14 children when 1 child is enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten or above and 1 child at least age 6 with a maximum of 3 infants. This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with the licens ee Rocio Maurizio . A Notice of Site Visit was provided and should remain posted for 30 days for parental r eview.
