What the inspector wrote

On 7/7/23 at 11:25am, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), E. Laird. At 11:30am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee was supervising 10 children, and operating out of ratio requirements. The facility\342\200\231s operating hours are 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday\342\200\223Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are water heater closet, back sheds, and were made inaccessible by door knob cover, fence, and lock . The children use the front yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard . Five children's records were reviewed at 11:56am. Two staff records were reviewed at 12:10pm. There are currently 3 adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The following deficiencies were cited (see LIC 809D): LPA E. Laird informed licensee, Alicia Rose that this report dated 7/7/23 documents one of Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPA E. Laird informed the licensee to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 7/7/23 that documents any Type A citation(s) to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
