Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 02/06/2023 at 02:13 PM , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nasha King , conducted a Case Management visit in response to information received from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW). LPA met with Song Ramos (Director) who was informed of the reason for the visit. Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their drinking and cooking water for lead contamination between January 1, 2020 and January 1, 2023, and then every 5 years after the date of the first lead testing. LPA observed on the report provided by the SWRCB that SINK/FAUCET I identified as having high levels of lead. The required signed and dated forms (LIC 9275/9276), Facility Sketch (LIC 999), and the Lead Testing Report were submitted to LPA during this visit. The faucet is located in the school-age classroom . The Director informed LPA that the faucet was never used because it did not work well and the water flow was not that great. There are two operable faucets inside the classroom, and the identified faucet did not need to be used, per the Director. The faucet has been completely removed from the classroom as as of 02/02/2023 by the facility's maintenance crew. An exit interview was conducted with Song Ramos . A copy of this report, appeal rights and a Notice of Site Visit was issued.
