What the inspector wrote

On June 30, 2025, at 9:21AM, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPA’s), Sandra Pulido, William Chancellor and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Pauline Beschorner. conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Substitute Supervisor Shawna Passmore and Sarah Yates as they are requesting to be licensed for 80 preschoolers ages 2-5 years old. Upon completion of today’s visit, the facility measures for a total capacity of 80 preschool children ages 2-5 years old in classrooms #52, #53, #55, and #57. Hours of operation will be listed as Monday through Friday 6:30AM- 6PM for rooms 52 and 53; for rooms 55 and 57, hours will be 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Present during today’s inspection were 0 children with 2 staff. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Supervisor Shawna Passmore that staff are required to always maintain direct visual supervision of the children during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor space. Total indoor activity space measured 3229.45 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (80) children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors via fill stations and children bring their own individual water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on June 11, 2025. LPA observed a total of (9) sinks and (9) toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the revised capacity request of (80) children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area with chain-link fencing that is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 10934.45, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via large trees that sufficiently cover the entire playground and additional wind sails over the tables. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones provided by wood chips. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Supervisor Shawna Passmore was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. No corrections are needed. A license for 80 children will be granted upon a final file review. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Shawna Passmore and Sarah Yates.
