What Happened
Complaint investigation found that a sippy cup with spoiled milk was mishandled before water was poured into it, and the allegation was substantiated. The director acknowledged the incident and the facility was found responsible for providing clean cups free of contamination.

To be accorded safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs.This requirement was not met as evidenced by:Based on LPA's interviews conducted and per staff’s own admission the day in question she was busy and she open the Sippy cup to pour water but she did not pay close attention and disregard that it has spoiled milk in the cup from early morning. Staff was aware of the issue until it was brought to her attention by the director after the incident occurred.Facility failed to protect the safety of the children. This is an immediate health and safety risk for the children in care.
