What the inspector wrote

On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a decrease in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Helani Ortega-Godin ez. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for 24 infants ages 6 weeks - 2 years of age in room #3 and #4. Currently the facility is licensed for a capacity of 32 infants. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. Present during today\342\200\231s inspection were 12 children with 3 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Helani Ortega-Godin ez that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 847.22 , which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 24 c hildren. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via filtered water and disposable cups. Children's water bottles brought from home are refilled as needed. The facility has 8 portable play yards in the designated napping area. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 10/30/2024. LPA observed a total of (2) sinks and (1) toilet, (1) potty chair, and (2) changing tables for children's use. The facility will be adding to room #3 and room #4 an adult hand washing sink for the changing tables. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 24 children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is block wall and wrought iron that is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 1935.83 , which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via retractable awning and building patio structure covering. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is adequate cushioning material for infants. Drinking water is available via children's brought water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Director Helani Ortega-Godinez was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. No corrections are needed. The requested decrease from 32 to 24 infants ages 6 weeks - 2 years of age in room #3 and #4 will be granted upon a final file review. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Helani Ortega-Godinez. .
