What the inspector wrote

On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samuel Lopez arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: Normal days and hours of operation are: Sunday through Saturday, 23.5 hours a day OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Second floor and office The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios \302\267 Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection \302\267 A working telephone is present and current number on file \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. \302\267 Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children \302\267 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \302\267 Toxins are locked \302\267 Weapons are not present at the facility. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \302\267 There is a barricade that prevents access to the stairs of the second floor. \302\267 Verification of control of property on file (Mortgage Statement) \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan & Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training completed on 4/3/2024 \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 2/2027 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 6/5/1999 \302\267 The facility has an in-ground pool, which is enclosed by a wrought iron fence that meets the following requirements: (1) isolated from access to the home; (2) is a minimum height of 60 inches; (3) has a maximum vertical clearance of two inches from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure; (4) has no gaps that can allow the passage of a sphere with a diameter of 4 or more inches; (5) has no protrusions, cavities or other physical characteristics that could serve as handholds or footholds for a child to climb over; and (6) the access gate must swing away from the pool and be self-closing with a self-latching, key lockable device placed no lower than 60 inches above the ground. There is a pool alarm installed. The alarm meets ASTM International Standard F2208 and during today's inspection the licensee demonstrated that it is in working condition. Facility is also equipped with a life ring that is US Coast Guard approved and a rescue pool with a body hook that is a minimum of 12 feet in length. The licensee keeps a log of all the daily checks conducted on pool safety and equipment. Pool and Safety requirements meet Title 22 regulations during today\342\200\231s inspection. \302\267 Clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys \302\267 Current roster on file \302\267 Documentation of fire and disaster drills on file \342\200\223 Last drill conducted on 1/30/2026 \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 Employee\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and is provided with the Regional Office\342\200\231s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov \302\267 Resident and/or staff records reviewed on 2/10/2026 indicate that all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances or exemptions. \302\267 The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov - LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee Anna Guilmette and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Licensee Anna Guilmette of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514- 0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-care-centers/ . - Licensee Anna Guilmette was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated - Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms. Licensee Anna Guilmette was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. - The Duty Officer is available to answer questions Monday \342\200\223 Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm at: 1-844-LET-US-NO (1-844-538-8766) and/or 951-782-4200 No cited deficiencies during today's inspection. A notice of site visit was given to Licensee Anna Guilmette and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Anna Guilmette. During the exit interview, the Licensee Anna Guilmette, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. *To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided.
