What the inspector wrote

On June 11, 2025 at approximately 9:00 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tricia Danielson conducted an unannounced case management inspection for an decrease in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with school secretary Gabriela Martinez. Director Christy Moran was off-site at a meeting but was contacted via telephone and notified of LPA's presence at the school. Moran granted permission for Martinez to assist LPA. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for seventy-three (73) children ages 3 to 5 years in rooms 6, 12, and 14. Currently the facility is licensed for a capacity of one hundred seventy (170) children ages 3 to 5 years in rooms 13, 14, 15, and 16. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. There were no children present during today's visit due to summer break. LPA toured the facility and measured new indoor activity space. Total indoor activity space in room 6 measured 908.50 square feet, room 12 measured 921.65 square feet, and room 14 measured 898.12 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested decrease in capacity of seventy-three (73) children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available via personal drinking vessels filled either at classroom drinking fountains or school provided filtered water dispenser. There are seven (7) toilets and six (6) sinks for the children's use. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no changes to the playground area. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. An approved fire clearance was granted on May 28, 2025. Martinez was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. Based on the approved fire clearance, observations, and measurements taken during today's visit, rooms 6, 12, and 14 are approved for the decrease in capacity. An exit interview was conducted with Martinez and a copy of this report was provided along with a notice of site visit.
