On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Taityana Benson and Perla Ordones arrived at the facility to conduct an annual/capacity increase inspection as part of a compliance review. The Licensee, Norma Garcia and Co-Licensee Jose Garica requested to increase the capacity from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. LPAs toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: Normal days and hours of operation are: 7 days, 22 hours per day. OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: 2 nd Floor, Laundry Room, Downstairs Bedroom, Garage, and Backyard Dog Kennel The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios \302\267 Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection \302\267 A working telephone is present and current number on file \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. \302\267 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \302\267 Toxins are locked \302\267 Weapons are not present according to Licensee, Norma Garcia. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \302\267 Stairs are barricaded with as safety gate \302\267 Verification of control of property on file (Property Tax Bill) (Report Continue On LIC809-C) \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan & Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training for Licensee and Co-Licensee completed on 08/01/2021 \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card for Licensee and Co-Licensee expired on 06/01/2023 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 12/09/2012 \302\267 No bodies of water at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. (Report Continued on LIC809-C) - LPA also informed Licensee, Norma Garcia of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information , see PIN 22-02-CCP . When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. - Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform. Prior to submitting application of increase of capacity for approval, Plan of Correction(s) need to be submitted and approved fire clearance paperwork needs to be submitted. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. The Licensee, Norma Garcia, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and/or using the facility address for their mailing address.
