What the inspector wrote

not obtained. It was also observed on June 26, 2024, that a staff was alone with 13 children without the required certifications and documentation required by Title 22 and they are not qualified to supervise children on their own. Based on confidential interviews the preponderance of evidence has been met and the allegation that unqualified staff providing care to day care children is substantiated. The facility is being cited for Title 22, Section 101516.2 School-Age Child Care Center Teacher Qualifications and Duties which poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. An exit interview was conducted, this report, appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit was explained and provided to Director. Director was reminded that the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to post will result in Civil Penalties of $100.00.

Director had a letter from Sycamore Academy stating S2 and S3 had completed the substitute trainings.

    HSC 1596.8662(b)(1):(1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a) and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: S2 and S3 did not complete the required Mandated Reporter Training and first aid/CPR for childcare providers which poses a potential health, safety and/or personal rights risk to children in care.
