On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jeanette Sanchez and Naomi Hurtado arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: \302\267 Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 5:00am-5:00pm \302\267 Off-limit areas include: Rooms 1-2, Room 4; garage; left and right side of yard \302\267 The facility is licensed to have no more than 14 children as a large FCCH and is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. (3:3) \302\267 Appropriate supervision was being provided during this inspection \302\267 A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file \302\267 A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was not observed. A smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were present and tested by the Licensee during this inspection. \302\267 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \302\267 Toxins are locked and inaccessible to children in care. \302\267 Weapons are not present. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \302\267 Clean, safe and age appropriate toys are provided \302\267 Current roster on file \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan and Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted \302\267 Documentation of fire and disaster drills are on file \342\200\223 Last drill was conducted on 11/27/2024 \302\267 No bodies of water at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Verification of control of property is on file \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 Employee\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training completed on 10/30/2024 \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 7/2025 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 4/19/2017 \302\267 Resident and/or staff records were reviewed and all adults who require caregiver background checks have not received all required clearances and/or exemptions. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. During the exit interview, the Licensee Victoria Lopez de Vallejo, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA Sanchez informed licensee Victoria Lopez de Vallejo that this report dated 12/11/2024 documents one Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care. Also, LPA Sanchez informed the licensee to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 12/11/2024 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the licensee Victoria Lopez de Vallejo. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
