On September 5,2024, at 8:33 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Anastasia Flores, arrived for the purpose of conducting an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. At 8:59 AM, LPA toured the inside and outside of the facility, and the following was observed and/or noted: \302\267 The following items were posted and updated where necessary: - License - Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148) - Parent\342\200\231s Rights Poster (PUB393) - Personal Rights (LIC613A) - Child Car Seat Law - Menu \302\267 The facility is operating within the limits as stated on the license. \302\267 Ratios are being met during this inspection. Room 104; two qualified staff to 17 children, room #105; two qualified staff to 15 children, room #106; two qualified staff to 17 children. \302\267 Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment and free of hazards \302\267 There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Facility Representative Lori J. Hartigan \302\267 There are no accessible bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Drinking water is provided in the indoor & outdoor activity space, with public drinking water, children bring personal cups from home, and they are filled up daily. Children are also able to use the drinking fountains if needed. \302\267 Medications are stored where inaccessible to children in the child\342\200\231s classroom, locked in a filing cabinet and in a locked box. \302\267 Hazardous items are stored where inaccessible to children which include: Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous \302\267 Poisons and toxins are locked and inaccessible to children \302\267 All floors were observed to be safe and clean. \302\267 Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition \302\267 Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fences and free of hazards \302\267 Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition \302\267 Food preparation area is clean, free of litter and rubbish and free of rodents and other vermin \302\267 Food is stored appropriately and protected from contamination \302\267 All storage containers for solid waste were observed to have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair \302\267 Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements \302\267 Disaster drills are conducted at least every six months \342\200\223 last drill was conducted on 08/28/24. At 9:25 AM, a review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation. \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records were found to be complete during this inspection. \302\267 Staff record review indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired. \302\267 A staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 02/10/25 \302\267 Opening and closing staff member\342\200\231s CPR/First Aid expires on 07/13/25 \302\267 Director completed Health and Safety Training \302\267 A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. During the exit interview, the Facility Representative, Lori J. Hartigan, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report and appeal rights, was reviewed with the Facility representative, Lori J. Hartigan .
