Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Regarding the allegation that staff are not properly cleaning children after using the bathroom, LPA conducted a facility inspection and confidential interviews. Interviews revealed that 2 out of the 13 children enrolled were fully potty trained. LPA Waters observed toilet paper rolls and wipes inside an unlocked cabinet next to the toilet, accessible to the children. Also observed in the bathroom was a diaper changing area, diapers, and wipes. LPA Waters observed staff changing diapers and offering assistance to children while in the bathroom. Interviews were also conducted, and LPA was unable to corroborate allegation. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report was provided to the facility. This report must be made available for public review for 3 years upon request.
