Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On July 2, 2025, at 1:05 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Hamilton and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Carlos Martinez arrived at the facility to follow up to the previous annual inspection conducted on June 4, 2025. The following corrections needed to be made to pool fencing: 1. The lock on the gate must be placed 60 inches from the ground. 2. Gate self-closing and self-latching. 3. Fencing must be 60 inches. During today's inspection, the following was observed: The pool has a sturdy 5-foot wrought iron fence with a self-latching and self-closing gate that swings away from the pool. The lock on the gate is positioned 60 inches from the ground and the vertical clearance from the bottom of the enclosure to the ground is no more than 2 inches. The wrought iron fence vertical bars are 4 inches apart. In addition, LPA observed safety equipment to include a life ring with diameter of 20 inches labeled approved by United States Coast Guard and a non-adjustable rescue pole that is 12 feet in length with a body hook that are both visible from the pool. LPA did not observe any items or objects outside fencing enclosure that would reduce the fence\342\200\231s height to less than 5 feet or make fence climbable by a child under six years old. LPA also reviewed the daily pool inspection log. Exit interview conducted, a copy of this report, appeal rights and notice of site visit was provided to and reviewed with the licensee. Licensee reminded that the notice of site visit must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
