On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samuel Lopez arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Sunday, 23 hours day OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Master bedroom and garage The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios \302\267 Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection \302\267 A working telephone is present and current number on file \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. \302\267 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \302\267 Toxins are locked \302\267 Weapons are not present according to the licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \302\267 Facility is a single story home \302\267 The licensee previously provided proof of control of property. (Grant deed) \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan & Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training completed on 8/7/2025 \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 3/2027 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 8/30/2019 \302\267 There are no bodies of water as of this date. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools and spas, in-ground pools and spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per title 22 regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position when not in use. \302\267 Clean and age-appropriate toys are available \302\267 Current roster on file \302\267 Documentation of fire and disaster drills on file \342\200\223 Last drill conducted on 12/1/2025 \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 Employee\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and is provided with the Regional Office\342\200\231s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov \302\267 Resident and/or staff records reviewed on 12/8/2025 indicate that all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances or exemptions. \302\267 The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov - LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Miriam Lopez and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Miriam Lopez of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. During today's inspection LPA Lopez observed a Bumbo seat in an area accessible to children and was informed by the licensee that it is utilized by one of the infants in care. This Bumbo seat was recalled several years ago. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated - Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms. A notice of site visit was given to Miriam Lopez and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Miriam Lopez.
