What the inspector wrote

On date an d time listed above, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Chase Atherton & Susan Brewer arrived at the facility to conduct annual inspection. LPAs were granted entry by facility representative Katherine Pasley. This is a combination center and the other licensed programs are: Preschool 334841698 which was also inspected on this date. School Age classrooms are Blue, Orange, and Green. The facility does not currently have any school age children enrolled under CCL, however, the three classrooms are being used for the facility\342\200\231s private school under an affidavit. LPA took a census and observed and/or discussed the following: Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday; 6:30am - 6:3 0 pm. The inspection consisted of reviews of the CARE tool domains. The inspection found the facility to be in compliance except as noted on the LIC809D. Deficiencies were not cited this visit. If updates are made, the facility will submit the fo llowing documents to Licensing within 30 days: 1. LIC 500 Personnel Report 2. LIC 610 Emergency & Disaster Plan 3. Parent Handbook/ Program Curriculum/Admission policies and procedures/ fee schedule 4. LIC 309 Administrative Organization and 5. LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility \302\267 The following items have been posted and are current: License; Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610); Facility sketch; Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148; Parent\342\200\231s Rights Poster (PUB393); Personal Rights (LIC613A); and Child Car Seat Law. \302\267 The facility is operating within the scope of license with appropriate ratios and supervision during this inspection. \302\267 Medications are stored inaccessible to children in the front office. \302\267 Hazardous and dangerous items are stored inaccessible to children. Poisons and toxins are locked. \302\267 Classrooms and floors are clean, free of hazards and rooms are equipped with age-appropriate furniture. \302\267 Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition \302\267 Per facility representative Katherine Pasley, no weapons are stored at the facility. \302\267 There are no accessible bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Outdoor activity areas are enclosed by appropriate fences, free of hazards and have age and size appropriate equipment in good condition. \302\267 Areas around or under high climbing equipment have material that absorbs a fall: artificial grass \302\267 Measures are taken to keep the facility free of pests and rodents. \302\267 Storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers in good repair. \302\267 Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available both indoors and outdoors by children's water bottles brought from home as well as refills provided by delivered water jugs via Primo Water. \302\267 Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements. \302\267 A Staff member is present with CPR/First Aid which expires on 8/2027 \302\267 Opening and closing staff member\342\200\231s CPR/First Aid expires on 8/2027 \302\267 Director completed Health and Safety Training on 6/30/2020 \302\267 Children files are not present as there are no school age children enrolled. \302\267 Staff have received on-the-job training for housekeeping, sanitation and universal health precautions \302\267 Staff files are complete. \302\267 Fire & earthquake drills are conducted/documented every six months. Last drill dated: 10/16/2025 \302\267 Facility Representative was informed the Department has inspection authority per Health and Safety Codes. Facility representative was reminded of the following: \302\267 Unusual Incident Reporting email: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov \302\267 Duty Officer availability: Mon. \342\200\223 Fri 8:00 am \342\200\223 5:00 pm. at 1-844-LET-US-NO (1-844-538-8766) \302\267 Access to forms & Regulations online at www.ccld.ca.gov \302\267 Facility staff are responsible to know the regulations for providing care \302\267 Failure to meet the posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty. \302\267 To receive important licensed -related information to licensed facilities, visit the CCLD Important Information website at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe and select the Child Care option to receive email communication. \302\267 AB 1207 \342\200\223 Mandated Child Abuse Reporting: Child Day Care Personnel Training, beginning January 1, 2018 \342\200\223 Requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. \302\267 AB2960 \342\200\223 Childcare and development services, online portal \342\200\223 Effective June 20, 2022 - This bill requires the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SSPI), within the California Department of Education (CDE), to develop and post on CDE's website a comprehensive childcare and development services online portal for families and providers by June 30, 2022. \302\267 Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. \302\267 Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. \302\267 CCC NOT REQUIRED TO COMPLETE LEAD TESTING Facility representative stated this building was completed on 9/24/2012, making this building exempt from lead testing required by Assembly Bill 2370. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1597.16. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP.). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives (Interim Licensing Standards) outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.
