Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Perla Ordones arrived at the facility to conduct a third pre-licensing inspection to ensure initial corrections were completed prior to licensure. Present during this inspection was Applicant Laura Perez. Normal days and hours of operation: Monday – Sunday; 23 hours a day. OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Entire second floor, garage, and right side of the backyard that has the pool. During visit, LPA observed that a five-foot-tall mesh-type fencing has been installed that surrounds the entirety of the in-ground pool to prevent direct access, including the outer windows and sliding glass door, from the home. Additionally, fencing contains a gate with a self-latching and self-closing door, which swings away from the pool. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. The application for a Small Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 6, or 8 with parent notification. On this date, 01/18/2024, the California Attorney General - Megan’s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Applicant Laura Perez.
