On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joanne Domingo arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. The licensee has applied to increase her capacity to that of a Large Family Child Care Home. The Fire Clearance has been granted and on file on 7/14/21. LPA conducted COVID-19 Screening question prior to entry . LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: \302\267 Normal days and hours of operation are: MONDAY - SATURDAY, 7:00AM - 6:30PM \302\267 Off-limit areas include: ALL UPSTAIRS ROOMS & BATHS, DOWNSTAIRS LAUNDRY ROOM, KITCHEN, FAMILY ROOM & GARAGE \302\267 The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios YES \302\267 Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection YES \302\267 A working telephone is present and the current number is on file YES \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. LOCATED IN KITCHEN/FAMILY ROOM AREA \302\267 Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children OUTDOOR FIRE PLACE IS INACCESSIBLE \302\267 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children YES \302\267 Toxins are locked YES \302\267 Weapons are/are not present/stored according to Title 22. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations NONE \302\267 Stairs are barricaded YES \302\267 Clean, safe and age appropriate toys YES \302\267 Current roster on file YES \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan and Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted YES \302\267 Documentation of fire and disaster drills on file \342\200\223 Last drill conducted on 11/03/21 \302\267 No bodies of water at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Verification of control of property on file MORTGAGE STATEMENT ON FILE \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records are complete YES \302\267 Employee\342\200\231s records are complete NO EMPLOYEES OTHER THAN FAMILY MEMBERS \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training EXPIRES: NR - 12/21, AM - 11/23, ER - 11/23 \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expire on NR - 11/23 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on NR - 12/15/19 \302\267 Resident and/or staff records were reviewed and all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances and/or exemptions. YES The licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and/or using the facility address for their mailing address. YES Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee NERITZA ROMERO was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with the licensee NERITZA ROMERO. Appeal rights were discussed and provided during the exit interview. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
