What the inspector wrote

On November 07, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelli Waters arrived unannounced for the purpose of a capacity increase request. On 10/11/24 a fire clearance inspection took place and is still in process. LPA met with Licensee, Gloria Gilbert and toured the facility inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: \342\200\242 Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday thru Saturday from 4:00 am to 12:00am. \342\200\242 Off-limit areas include: Dining Room, Garage, downstairs bedroom and entire second floor. \342\200\242 A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file \342\200\242 No fireplace in the home. \342\200\242 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \342\200\242 Toxins are locked and inaccessible to children in care. \342\200\242 Weapons are not present per Licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \342\200\242 Stairs have a barricade -Licensee stated she understands when more 8 children are present, an assistant is required. In the event that an assistant is absent, licensee was reminded that ratios must return to a small family child care. -Licensee stated they understand that fingerprints need to be cleared prior to employment or presence in the childcare. -Licensee was reminded and stated they understand that licensee needs to be present in the day-care, when children are present for 80% per day. Once processed, license will be approved for a maximum capacity of 14 children with parent notification and no more than 4 infants at one time. An exit interview was provided to Licensee Gloria Gilbert, along with a copy of this report and a Notice of Site visit, which must remain posted in a prominent space for 30 consecutive days.
