What the inspector wrote

The licensee has applied to increase her capacity to that of a Large Family Child Care Home. Present during this visit was Stephanie Chevres Martino. Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) James Wilkerson and Cindy Hamilton toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed and the following was observed and discussed: \302\267 Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm \302\267 OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: garage, laundry room and 2nd floor. \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are present and were tested by the licensee during this inspection. \302\267 All hazardous items inaccessible \302\267 Toxins locked \302\267 No guns or weapons present as of this date. LICENSEE UNDERSTANDS ALL GUNS, WEAPONS AND AMMUNITION MUST BE KEY-LOCKED SEPARATELY AND MADE INACCESSIBLE PER TITLE 22 REGULATIONS. Normally, there are two guns kept at the facility in a locked container. \302\267 Stairs are barricaded \302\267 The fireplace is properly screened \302\267 Verification of control of property on file (viewed grant deed) \302\267 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan & Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights forms are posted \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card - expire on 05/31/2023 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 10/29/2021 \302\267 There are no bodies of water as of this date. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Clean, safe and age appropriate toys \302\267 There are no toxic plants observed at this time. \302\267 Current roster on file \302\267 Documentation of fire drills on file \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records are complete \302\267 Criminal record clearances are required prior to all adults living or working in a Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 per day the person has been present, may be assessed. Resident and/or staff records reviewed on 01/27/2021 indicate that all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances or exemptions. \302\267 The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and is provided with the Regional Office\342\200\231s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov , and UnusualIncidentReportsDO10@dss.ca.gov \302\267 Facility is not currently providing IMS at this time. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual \342\200\223 Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. If a serious violation is cited, a copy of the licensing report (LIC809/LIC9099) must also be posted for 30 days. A civil penalty of $100 per violation will be assessed for noncompliance. - Access to forms & Regulations for Family Child Care online at www.ccld.ca.gov . - Please subscribe at www. childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to receive Department updates. They will be sent directly to your e-mail account once you have set up an account. This website can also be accessed through www.ccld.ca.gov - The Duty Officer is available to answer questions Monday \342\200\223 Friday at 1-844-LET-US-NO (1-844-538-8766). The application for a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 12, or 14 with parent notification. Appeal rights were provided and discussed. During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Stephanie Chevres Martino, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and/or using the facility address for their mailing address. As a REMINDER: when your child(ren) turn 18 years of age, you MUST SUBMIT an updated LIC279, LIC508 and TB Screen and have your child submit for LIVESCAN background clearance. This also applies to any adult PRIOR to them moving into the home or who currently lives in the home. Also, PRIOR to employment of any adult, you must submit the LIC508, TB screening and obtain a background clearance through LIVESCAN. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND LPA VERIFIED THAT IT WAS POSTED IN A PROMINENT LOCATION AT THE FACILITY BEFORE LEAVING. THE LICENSEE UNDERSTANDS THAT IT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS ALONG WITH A COPY OF ALL TYPE A DEFICIENCIES (LIC9099D) CITED DURING THIS INSPECTION. A COPY OF ALL TYPE A DEFICIENCIES CITED DURING THIS INSPECTION MUST ALSO BE IMMEDIATELY (WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE CHILD\342\200\231S NEXT DAY IN CARE) GIVEN TO THE PARENTS OF ALL CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE CHILD CARE FACILITY AND ANY CHILDREN ENROLLED INTO THE CHILD CARE FACILITY OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS (AT THE TIME OF ENROLLMENT). A Confidential Names List was completed and provided to the applicant. A copy of this report was provided to the applicant on this date and must be made available to the public upon request for the next 3 years. Notice of site visit issued
