What the inspector wrote

On 2/6/25 at 12:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Naomi Hurtado arrived at this facility to conduct an inspect for a capacity increase. Currently the home is licensed for 8 children. Licensee is requesting a capacity increase to 12 or 14 children which was received in the Riverside South East Regional Office on 12/31/25. \342\200\242 Normal days and hours of operation are: Mon \342\200\223 Fri. 5:00 AM \342\200\223 5 PM \342\200\242 Off-limit areas include: Bedrooms, laundry room, and garage. \342\200\242 Appropriate supervision was being provided during this inspection \342\200\242 A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file \342\200\242 A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed. A smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were present \342\200\242 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \342\200\242 Toxins are locked and inaccessible to children in care. \342\200\242 Weapons are not present. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations \342\200\242 Clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys are provided \342\200\242 Current roster on file \342\200\242 Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan and Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights poster are posted \342\200\242 Documentation of fire and disaster drills are on file \342\200\223 Last drill was conducted 9/8/24 \342\200\242 No bodies of water are present at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \342\200\242 Verification of control of property is on file \342\200\242 Children\342\200\231s records were not reviewed at this time \342\200\242 There is no current employee/assistants. \342\200\242 Mandated Reporter Training completed on 6/13/24 \342\200\242 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 5/2026 \342\200\242 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 6/25/22 \342\200\242 Resident and/or staff records were reviewed and all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances and/or exemptions. The Duty Officer is available to answer questions Monday \342\200\223 Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm at: 951-782-4200 The facility was granted a fire clearance on 1/6/25. Based on LPAs inspection the capacity increase is granted at this time. Licensee understands that prior to caring for capacity of 12 or 14 children, Licensee must have a qualified assistant. An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights, Notice of Site Visit and a copy of this report was provided to the licensee.
