Inspector’s narrative
What the inspector wrote
On February 5, 2025, at 2:13PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Chancellor arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
Normal days and hours of operation are listed as Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Off-limit areas include: upstairs, family room, kitchen and garage. During inspection, LPA observed the stairs to be barricaded by a child safety gate and for the garage door to have a child safety doorknob and dead bolt lock, making the entire upstairs and garage inaccessible to children in care, ensuring off-limits. However, the kitchen and family room are listed as off-limits, but children are escorted through this area to access the backyard for outdoors time. LPA observed a child safety gate in the hallway leading to the kitchen and family room, during the entire inspection, the gate remained shut and locked.
