What the inspector wrote

On March 20, 2025, at 2:04 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Hamilton conducted a case management inspection for an increase of capacity, requested by licensee Michael Ferreira. LPA met with assistant Cesar Padilla and granted access to the inside of the facility. At 2:25 PM, Licensee Michael Ferreira arrived met with LPA and granted access to the backyard. LPA conducted an annual inspection on 08/07/2024 and fire clearance was granted 02/20/2025. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, and the following was observed and/or discussed: · Normal days and hours of operation are: Sunday through Saturday 12:00 AM to 11:00 PM · Off-limit areas include: laundry room, entire second floor, kitchen, dining room, dog area and garage. · The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios with licensee present with seven children and two assistants. · Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. · Resident and all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances and/or exemptions. Licensee currently has 16 children enrolled and has assistants with all of the required documents on file. The application for a capacity increase to become a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 14 children with parent notification. An exit interview was conducted and this report, appeal rights and notice of site visit were reviewed with Michael Ferreira licensee. Licensee was reminded that the notice of site visit must be posted for 30 days.
