What the inspector wrote

On January 23, 2025, at 2:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Chancellor arrived unannounced to the address listed above for the purpose of a capacity increase request. On January 17, 2025 a fire clearance was granted, approving facility as a large family childcare. Conditions state only the first floor can be used for the day care, excluding the garage and entire upstairs. During visit, a census was taken and no immediate concerns were present. Carbon monoxide and smoke detector were tested and are in working order. Licensee stated she understands when more then eight (8) children are present, an assistant is required. In the event that an assistant is absent, licensee was reminded that ratios must return to a small family child care capacity of eight (8) children. Licensee stated they understand that fingerprints need to be cleared prior to employment or presence in the childcare for any adult, eighteen years or older, who assists, lives or volunteers in the home. Licensee stated they understand that licensee needs to be present in the day-care, when children are present for 80% per day. Kumari FCC has been officially approved as a Large family childcare. License will be approved for a maximum capacity of 14 children, along with parent notification. License comments will state : MAX. CAP (WHEN THERE IS AN ASSISTANT PRESENT): 12 - NO MORE THAN 4 INFANTS. CAP 14 - NO MORE THAN 3 INFANTS. WHEN 1 CHILD WHO IS IN KINDERGARTEN OR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND 1 CHILD AT LEAST AGE 6. An exit interview was provided, along with a copy of this report and Appeal Rights. Notice of Site visit, which must remain posted in a prominent space for 30 consecutive days.
