What the inspector wrote

On January 8, 2025, at 11:48 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles conducted a case management inspection for an increase of capacity, requested by licensee Dulka Lelkada Lokuge. LPA conducted an annual inspection on 11/07/2024. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, and the following was observed and/or discussed: \302\267 Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM \302\267 Off-limit areas include: Kitchen pantry, Laundry room, garage, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 \302\267 The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios with licensee present with six children present \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection. \302\267 Resident and all adults who require caregiver background checks have received all required clearances and/or exemptions. The licensee has applied to increase the capacity from a Small to a Large Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. A fire clearance was granted for an increase of capacity on 12/16/2024. Licensee currently has seven children enrolled and does not have an assistant at this time. LPA reminded Licensee of all required documents they will need to obtain for their assistant. The application for a a capacity increase to become a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 14 with parent notification. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Dulka Lelkada Lokuge, licensee. A notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days.
