What the inspector wrote

On 5/22/25 at 9:40 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Naomi Hurtado arrived at the facility to conduct a case management visit. Licensee has applied to increase capacity to a large family childcare home. Fire Clearance was approved by RV County Fire Department on 5/14/25. During the inspection, LPA observed a working cell phone is available, a fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, all hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Yalimar Perez-Huerta, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations. The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, with the last drill conducted on 3/25/25. There are not any pools, spas, or other bodies of water. MAXIMUM CAPACITY 12 (WHEN AN ASSISTANT PRESENT) WITH NO MORE THAN 4 INFANTS OR CAPACITY 14 WITH NO MORE THAN 3 INFANTS AND 1 CHILD IN KINDERGARTEN OR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND 1 CHILD AT LEAST 6 YEARS OF AGE. LANDLORD CONSENT REQUIRED FOR CAPACITY 14. The application for a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 12, or 14 with parent notification. A notice of site visit was given to licensee Yalimar Perez-Huerta and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Yalimar Perez-Huerta
