What does Type A vs Type B mean?
Type A. Serious citation. Imminent or substantial risk to children. The regulator requires corrective action immediately and may impose a civil penalty.
Type B. Lower-severity citation. Corrective action required, no imminent risk. The regulator monitors compliance on the next visit.

(a) In child care centers providing meals to children, the following shall apply:(1) All food shall be safe and of the quality and in the quantity necessary to meet the needs of the children. Each meal shall include, at a minimum, the amount of food components as specified by Title 7, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 226.20, ...Requirements for Meals, for the age group served...This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on interviews conducted, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that children were served rice and beans for several days in a row, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
