What the inspector wrote

On the above date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA's), Hayley McCarthy and Tricia Danielson conducted an unannounced capacity increase inspection to add an additional infant room with a capacity of 12 infants ages 0-12 months to their existing facility. Upon arrival, LPA's met with the Interim Director, Jacquelyn Negrete and conducted a tour of the facility. The licensee has requested 12 infants ages 6 weeks - 12 months in room 7. Fire clearance was granted on 05/31/2024 by the Riverside County Fire Department. Days and hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. The outdoor infant court yard measured 940.62 sq.ft., which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (12) children. The fencing measures at least four feet high. Shade is provided via trees. Drinking water will be provided by Igloo and disposable sippy cups. Total indoor activity space measured 611.17 sq ft, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 12 children. LPA's observed all indoor activity space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including cribs, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the infants. Toys are safe with no sharp edges, splinters, or points, nor made of small parts that can present a choking hazard. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountain and disposable cups. LPA's observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. There are 2 toilets, one changing table, and 4 sinks available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of children. There are two separate staff restroom equipped with a toilet and a sink. The isolation area for children who are ill will be the director's office. (CONTINUED ON LIC 809-C) (CONTINUED FROM LIC 809) The Interim Director was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. Interim director will request a waiver for staggered use of the infant playground shared with infant room 8 ages 12 months to 24 months. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with and provided to Interim Director, Jacquelyn Negrete. The requested application for a capacity increase for infants 6 weeks - 12 months with a total capacity of 134 will be submitted for approval.
