What the inspector wrote

On the above noted date and time , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection for a Change of Ownership. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative Jennifer Morris. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for a total capacity of 216, 36 infant children ages 6 weeks - 24 months, 131 pre-school children ages 2 through 5 years of age, and 49 school-age children age 6 - 13 years of age. Days and Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. On today's visit LPA inspected the entire facility, took measurements, and conducted consulting. The submitted floor plan after consulting and touring will be updated. LPA did measuring for all classrooms, infant, preschool, school-age, and the infant playground. The above requested capacity for the three components will be updated. The facility representative will continue to use the current classrooms as labeled on facility sketch. Currently not all rooms are being used and some of the rooms are used as storage. The facility representative will get all rooms ready and advise LPA when ready to do a return pre-licensing visit. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Jennifer Morris that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. Total indoor activity space measured for infant 1410.65 (36) children, preschool 4628.77 (131) children, and school-age 1743.23 (49 children) . LPA observed a total of 4 sinks, 4 toilets, 3 changing tables available for infant children, 15 sinks, 8 toilets for pre-school, and 5 sinks, 4 toilets for school-age. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity for all components. There is a separate staff restroom equipped with a toilet and a sink. The isolation area for children who are ill will be the admin office. LPA will return on another scheduled date to verify the measurements of all rooms once the applicant / facility representative have prepared and set up all rooms. LPA and facility representative discussed items that would need to be repaired, cleaned, or replaced during the visit. An updated facility sketch indoor and outdoor will be needed to submit the Fire Clearance request. The facility has a scheduled visit with the Fire Marshall on 09/04/2024, the granted fire clearance will be needed for the return PL visit. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Jennifer Morris.
