What the inspector wrote

On 02/26/26, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelli Waters arrived unannounced for the purpose of a capacity increase request. LPA met with Licensee, Pascuala Luque Verduzco, and toured the facility inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed: On 02/22/26, a fire safety inspection took place, and a fire clearance was granted by Riverside County Fire Department for a large capacity Family Childcare Home (FCCH). \342\200\242 Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday thru Sunday 5:00am-9:00pm \342\200\242 Off-limit areas include: kitchen, garage, and entire second floor. \342\200\242 Fully charged Fire Extinguisher and a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector is present. \342\200\242 A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file \342\200\242 All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children \342\200\242 Toxins are locked and inaccessible to children in care. \342\200\242 Stairs have a barricade \342\200\242 Fireplace is made inaccessible Licensee stated she understands when more than 8 children are present, an assistant is required. In the event that an assistant is absent, licensee was reminded that ratios must return to a small family child care. Licensee was reminded and stated they understand that licensee needs to be present in the day-care when children are present for at least 80% per day. Licensee also stated they understand that fingerprints need to be cleared prior to employment or presence in the childcare. Once processed, license will be approved for a maximum capacity of 14 children with parent notification and no more than 3 infants at one time. If 12 children are present, no more than 4 may be infants. Infants are defined as any child under 24 months of age. An exit interview was provided to Licensee, Pascuala Luque Verduzco, along with a copy of this report and a Notice of Site visit, which must remain posted in a prominent space for 30 consecutive days.
