What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts Amanda Blesi and Katrina Owens conducted a complaint investigation at the facility and during the investigation it was learned that staff Harpreet Heer did not have a fingerprint clearance on file. Ms. Heer states she has worked in this facility since January 2022. *****This report was amended on 7/21/22 when it was found that Ms. Heer did have a fingerprint clearance with the Department; however, she was not associated to the facility. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative Harpeet Heer. Appeal rights provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

    Personal Rights: he licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Child #1, who is allergic to dairy, was served food containing dairy on July 1, 2022 which caused the child to have an allergic reaction. Staff were aware of the child's food allergies and needs; however, on this day they were short staffed and they inadvertently served the food to the child. This is an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.
