Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Velasco met with Facility Representative, Jacqueline Wyse (Representative), for the purpose of conducting an unannounced initial complaint investigation inspection pertaining to the above allegation. The purpose of today's inspection was explained. During today's inspection, LPA conducted interviews, observed care, and obtained relevant documentation. LPA observations did not provide corroboration that staff yell at children or fail to accord them dignity. LPA observed staff provide attentive and respectful care to children indoors and outdoors. LPA interviewed children and staff. Witness statements failed to corroboratre the allegations that staff yells at children in care, though both staff and children provided consistent statements that staff use louder voices outside. Witness statements were consistent and failed to corroborate the allegation that staff do not accord children dignity in their personal relationships with staff. Although the allegation(s) may have happened, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegation; therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, Jacqueline Wyse. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
