What the inspector wrote

On March 29th, 2023, at approximately 11:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat met with Director Carrie Robinson. The purpose of today's inspection was discussed with the Director. During the visit LPAs observed 48 children supervised by five staff members. During today's visit, LPA observed one aide supervising 12 preschool children alone. Based on the inspection, Title 22 Deficiencies have been issued on the attached on the LIC 809-D pages. The Licensee was informed that this report dated on 03/29/2023 documents one Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. The Licensee shall also provide a copy of this licensing report to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of the Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification. The Licensee has been provided with appeal rights.

  • RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING CARE AND SUPERVISION

    The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. This requirement is not met as evidenced by staff unable to prevent children from being bitten as a result of an inablility to visually supervise children which poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.

  • TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES

    101216.1 Teacher Qualifications and Duties: A teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units ...or shall have obtained a Child Development Assistance Permit... This requirement was not met as evidenced by: LPA observed one aide supervising twelve children alone in a preschool room.
