Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwina Pascual-Golamco met with Regional Leader, Melanie Koontz-DeMarchi and center Director, Carrie Robinson, for an informal meeting. LPM defined the difference between a non-compliance conference and an informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the licensee gain compliance. Today's informal meeting is to discuss the complaint inspections and case management inspections, and the citations that were issued on 2/1/2023, 2/16/2023, and 3/29/2023. The citations were issued in regard to care and supervision. Licensee has taken the following steps to maintain compliance: 1. A notice was sent to parents to ensure children are being signed-in and children are being left with verified staff, both in the classrooms and playgrounds. 2. Staff training on supervision has been conducted for all staff members. 3. The procedure of transferring children between classrooms and playground has been improved. 4. A detailed staff schedule has been created that shows staff start and end times, and break times. This schedule is being adhered to. 5. Deficiencies were discussed and have all been corrected. During today's meeting, LPM suggested that licensee review the Department web site www.ccld.ca.gov for updated regulations and important information regarding licensing. LPM suggested that Licensee can view information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org .
