What the inspector wrote

On 08/05/2024 at approximately at 8:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Loraine Perez and Tanya Washington met with Facility Representative Alan Grant for the purpose of a case management inspection, room change. Licensee requests to move from M11 to M12 on the campus of Arthur Dudley Elementary school. The fire clearance was received and granted on 07/30/2024 for 100 school age children. The program operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM . INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: Rooms M1, M2 and M12 are used by the facility. LPAs observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, and cubbies . There are bathrooms outside on school campus and 2 bathrooms in rooms M1 and M2. M1, M2, the Library and M12 will be used by Catalyst Kids- Arthur Dudley. The children will be supervised by staff and walked to the bathrooms by staff. The school currently has an Exemption in place and is exempted from square footage, toilet, fencing and isolation requirements for a school-age child care program pursuant to Regulation: 1596.806. OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one outdoor area on the property that is shared by the elementary school. LPAs confirmed that the playground space has always been shared by both programs. Facility Representative stated there are no firearms, weapons, or bodies of water on the facility premises. There are shaded areas supplied by trees, sides of buildings, and overhangs. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
