What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kyrsten Williams met with director, Cheryl Watt for an unannounced case management inspection to discuss the Unusual Incident Report (UIR) that the facility submitted on 05/01/2025. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Census included fifty children being supervised by nine staff. It was reported that on 04/30/2025, a group of children were playing on a loft located in one of the preschool classrooms. A child (C1) was standing at the top of stairs on the loft when another child (C2) climbed the stairs to the loft. It was reported that upon C2 reaching the top of the stairs, C1 pushed C2 down the stairs causing C2 to hit his head. It was reported that C2 did not have any visible physical injuries and medical attention was not received. During today\342\200\231s inspection LPA reviewed records, conducted interview with staff present in the classroom during time of incident, and observed the area where it occurred. LPA did not observe any potential hazards in the play area where the incident occurred. No deficiencies are cited. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director, Cheryl Watt. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
